Daily Lessons

We’ll post the lessons and pertinent information for each 9am morning session here as the week progresses:

Monday: Our theme is “Experience It”! Faith is something that we experience. In our Christianity we use language like “encountering Christ,” which emphasizes the idea that we are called to be in a relationship with God. Relationships develop and form in real, tangible experiences.

Tuesday: Our theme is “Observe It”! If our goal is to get to Heaven, then we should probably model ourselves after those who are already there: the Saints! Today we explore the saints, including:

  • What is a Saint?
  • How Does One Become a Saint?
  • Heroic Virtue
  • Communion of Saints
  • Our Favorite Saints

Wednesday: “Know It” – We started the week with encountering Christ through an experience in nature. Today we observed how the Saints have demonstrated heroic virtue. Tomorrow we focus on the importance of knowing your faith. In short, we believe that God gave us the mutually beneficial gifts of faith and reason, that they each support the other and we should use both of them.

Thursday: Practice It

Suffering doesn’t end in a pandemic, and neither does our faith. Rather, as Christians, we dive head-first into the trouble in order to offer the loving mercy of God to all of those in need.

Today, we will discuss and challenge you to practice your faith! Specifically, we encourage you to do some Works of Mercy, social-distance style, especially to comfort those who suffer.

Virtual Leadership Camp

We are preparing young people to serve in their own family, parish, and diocese as disciples of Jesus Christ. First and foremost, we focus on their own evangelization and discipleship. We do this through the Sacraments, daily prayer experiences, lessons, and small group discussions about spiritual development, leadership, and formation.

Each day will be organized around an intentional theme. Our presenters during the morning session will introduce it, then each young person and small group will be given daily challenges to explore that theme in engaging, relevant experiences that can be done individually or with a small group of people, while observing social distancing guidelines of course.

Read the Handbook for more detailed information.
